Description:Men and boys pose for the photographer on the newly constructed Coronation Bridge over the River Sow in Victoria Park.

Built over the River Sow to celebrate the Coronation of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911 to link the 1908 park situated near the railway station, with a new extension which included a bowling green, on the Tenterbanks side of the river. The ferro-concrete, single span bridge was designed by the Borough Engineer, W. Plant.

Postcard published by William Shaw of Burslem. It was posted from Stafford in 1910 to an address in Colwyn Bay. This date predates the formal opening of the bridge.
