Description:This postcard view shows flowerbeds in front of the thatched shelter on the left which has the bowling green on the opposite side.

In the background another thatched structure can be seen which houses the toilet building. On the right the Coronation Bridge (dating from 1911) spans the River Sow which links the 1908 Victoria Park Pleasure Grounds, nearest to Stafford railway station, to the later (1911) bowling green side of the park adjacent to Tenterbanks.

The postcard was posted from Stafford on 17th November 1964 to an address in Devon. On the reverse is stamped “Freedom from Hunger Week 21st-28th November”.
