Description:Leek railway station was demolished in 1973 after passenger services were withdrawn. As with many former Knotty railway station sites, the site became a supermarket. Safeways (now Morrisons), opened on the site circa 1990. The site was home to Fabricast in the period between the demolition of the station and the building of Safeways. Safeways also built on former Knotty stations at Market Drayton and Newcastle-under-Lyme's Pool Dam goods wharf.
