Description:Crown Inn Farmhouse on Watling Street (A5) at Stretton, near Penkridge, built in the late 18th or early 19th century. The road on the left is The Avenue.

Owned by the Monckton family of Stretton Hall, the Crown Inn closed in 1936. At the time the inn was a tied house of W. Butler & Co., Sprngfield Brewery, Wolverhampton and the landlord was Arthur Collins.
