Description:This area of the Dane Valley at Dane Bridge is one of the quieter places along the river, with the foorbridge giving access to a walker's paradise. It is here at Gig Hall that the flow of water from the River Dane is split, one feeder canal supplies Rushton and Rudyard Lake, while in the other direction the water heads towards Congleton.
