Description:Group photograph of Lotus' boys and girls' sports teams. The houses in the background are on Oxford Gardens. Standing far left of the first row from the back is Ada Peaple. Standing next but one to her might be her sister, Hilda.

Lotus, like many other companies, encouraged their employees to participate in sports and social activities. The Lotus sports field was located near the factory on Sandon Road. A Welfare Superintendent was appointed after the First World War and activities included gymnastics, bowling and dramatics.
