Description:Group of female workers from Lotus participating in a dance and exercise class on the company's sports field on Sandon Road. They appear to be wearing Dutch costume.

Lotus, like many other companies, encouraged their employees to participate in sports and social activities. A Welfare Superintendent was appointed after the First World War and activities included gymnastics, bowling and dramatics.
