Description:At the time this photograph was taken, Robert Courtney was the gamekeeper at Shugborough, and the Kennels was his home on the Estate.

The man in the picture is believed to be Robert's father-in-law, Archibald Campbell. The woman in the window is probably Margaret Courtney (nee Campbell), Robert's first wife, with her son.

Robert Courtney was the under-gamekeeper at Ingestre Hall, but moved to Shugborough as gamekeeper in 1921. He retired in 1953.
