Description:Showing the pewits drive on Shebben (Shebdon) Pool. The 'Pewits' were Black-headed Gulls hunted annually at this pool, which has long since been filled. The gulls are being driven into nets by beaters standing in the pool.

Part of an engraving also showing Norbury Manor. Drawn and engraved by Michael Burghers for Robert Plot's 'Natural History of Staffordshire' first published in 1686.
