Description:A Baker's float is here seen taking part in the annual Bower procession. The procession is seen opposite the Five Gables on Bore Street, heading towards the Guildhall. The Bower occurs on Spring Bank Holiday Monday and dates back to the Middle Ages. Townsfolk would attend the Court of Arraye, a custom of holding an annual assembly to review local defence forces, and were then given the rest of the day as a holiday.
