Description:A single storey schoolhouse with gable bay, and a wooden bellcote. The entrance door has a gabled dormer with large shield shaped plaque.
The main school building was built in 1830 for 100 children. In 1880 the school was enlarged and improved to accommodate 220 pupils.
The group standing by the gate of the adjacent house are a man dressed in working clothes, a policeman, and a paper boy.
