Description:A stone built single arch road bridge, running from left to right. On the right hand side are steps leading dwon from the road. A group of five children are standing by an overhanging tree; one of them is on crutches. This stretch of the river Dove may have been known as Rocester Swimming Pool between the 1940s and 1960s. The field at the bottom of the steps was where Rocester Recreation Ground was until 1949. The steps were also used by boys from Abbotsholme school during that period when walking from the school to their dormitories at Mill Holme, the large house opposite the cotton mill.
