Description:Memorial plaques (also known as Death Plaques or the Widow's Penny) were given to the families of those who died during the First World War.

This Peace Medal is in memory of Pte. George Ball of Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. George Ball was born in Canada but lived at Clarke Street, Stafford. He was killed in action on 30 October 1917.
