Description:This photograph was taken outside Friars Cottage during the year of Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee in 1887.

The mayor is possibly Alfred Ward, who was in office 1887 - 1888.

Some of the magistrates can be seen wearing their Stafford Borough Jubilee medals.
