Stafford Station

Date:1911

Description:After we see an old locomotive pass – possibly from the engine shed at Stafford, a horse is hitched to a carriage to tow it away. Here we are leaving the station travelling South. We immediately pass under the bridge carrying the Newport Road. Then we pass under the Wolverhampton Road bridge and bear round Eastwards on the London line. We are now passing through Milford and Brockton station – a popular stopping off point for walkers going to Cannock Chase. Shortly after we are heading for the Shugborough tunnel.

This film also features in the documentary; “The Knotty – the story of the North Staffordshire Railway”, produced by Ray Johnson.
