Description:The Dugout Garage was built by Charles Smith Senior in the 1920's. It was named the Dugout as a reminder of the trenches in the first world war. Early petrol pumps can be seen in the photograph and a 1920's car.

From left to right are Mrs Doris 'Biddy' Smith, her two eldest children Pat and Joan, Mr Charlie Smith, and Mr Parker (Tamworth's first sanitary Inspector).
