Description:Tamworth is located at the confluence of the rivers Anker and Tame and so was liable to severe flooding before flood defences were put in place. Particularly bad flooding occured in December 1900 and May 1932.

Fishers Paper Mill can just be made out on the left hand side of this photograph, which was later turned into Turner's Asbestos. The sheds seen here on the right were Fishers Paper Storage Sheds.
