Description:Mr A.C. Bunting (1864-1928), founded Charles Bunting Ltd, wine and spirit merchants in 1829. In later years the businesss changed direction, and Buntings became a brewery. The company grew in size to become one of the largest employers in the town. In 1895 Buntings bought the Dove Valley Brewery, where they continued to operate from until the brewery's closure in the mid-1930s.
