Description:Old Hall Farm, Amington, can be seen here in the distance. This was the original Hall, which went down the social scale to become an important Farm House when the Repugtors built the present hall. The Gilman family were tenant farmers under the Repugtors and remained on when Repugton Hall was leased out to Rev. Fisher. Amington (new) Hall failed to sell at auction and Mr Gilman purchased it privately afterwards, running the farm until he died.
