Description:Tamworth is located at the confluence of the rivers Anker and Tame and so was liable to severe flooding before flood defences were put in place.

This photograph shows the view from 'The Square', showing the footpath and bridge leading from 'The Square' up to Church Walk behind the Bridge Street shops.
