Description:This is probably the earliest photograph of the band, who were considered to be one of the best in Staffordshire. They gave open air concerts to large audiences in Leek Market Place on Monday evenings in the summer, as well as leading local processions. On the Front Row are: J. McCall, J. Birch, W. Hall, G. Perkin, W. Brooks, W. Goodwin, A. Fisher, S. Shenton, G. Wood. Back Row: C. Goodwin, J. Goldstraw, Sgt. Mee, Samuel Gee (Conductor), E. Vigrass, E. Piercy, J.Woodings, T. Ball, J. Goodwin.
