Description:The mills, also known as 'Broster's Mill' were designed by James Gosling Smith, brother-in-law of Mr. William Broster. The building was completed in 1894 and looks very much like Big Mill in Mill Street, which was a design of William Sugden for his client Joseph Broster. The Waterloo Mills were slightly superior in terms of safety though, being of fireproof construction. Mr. Smith also designed The Unicorn on St. Edward Street, Leek.
Waterloo Mill has now been converted into residential apartments.
