Description:View along the town's main shopping street, with the National Westminster Bank building situated mid-way down on the left-hand side. The bank is thought by many to be the town's best example of an Arts and Crafts building. It was designed by William and Larner Sugden, a father and son team, to be an impressive feat of architecture both inside and out. Other notable buildings along this side of the street are Trinity Church (The Congegational Chapel), designed by William Sugden in 1863 and the timber-framed Roebuck Inn, built c1626.
