Description:The house was owned by the Mann, Crossman and Paulin, proprietors of the Albion Brewery, and was located only about ten minutes walk from the main brewery site. At the time the photograph was taken, around 1887-8, the house was occupied by Mr. G. Cowell, the firm's manager.
