Description:A view of the rear of St. Bernard's Convent of Mercy, Stubbs Gate, Newcastle-under-Lyme. This view includes the former Comet building.

The Sisters of Mercy began their ministry in Newcastle-under-Lyme in 1892 and moved to this location in 1893. They are still there today (2024) at the rear of the flats known as Number One, London Road.
