Description:Thatchers Country Club was situated on Trysull Holloway, close to the junction with Seisdon Lane, and has since been converted into a private dwelling.

Originally built as the village Institute in about 1906 by Sir Howard Mander, it was a social centre for workers on his estate and other villagers and included a library and billiards room. During World War II it was a base for the local Home Guard and Civil Defence units. The Jenkins family purchased it and converted it into a private members' club. The Woodall family took it over in August 1964. The club included a restaurant, bar and a function room for live music, dances and other special functions.
