Description:York railway Station is on the East Coast Main Line. The present station opened in 1877 and at the time was said to be the largest in the world. Over the years the station has had several alterations including platform changes, track remodelling and a new Rail Operating Centre (ROC) or signalling centre, which cost £26 million pounds and opened in 2014.The station is a Grade II* listed building.
