Maurice Procter is the first Sergeant to the right of the Officers on the row sitting down, the only one with a "Pair of Wings" on his chest. The photograph is believed to have been taken shortly before he was conscripted into the Regular Army in late 1944. The Commanding Officer, centre of the seated row, is believed to be Harry Koskie. After the War and once Maurice Proctor had been discharged from the Army in 1948, he work at Blythe Colours in Cresswell under Mr Koskie. They remained firm friends for the rest of their lives.
