Description:Arthur and Winnie Boulton of Whittington, near Eccleshall fishing in Walk Mill Pool. The mill buildings can be seen in the background.

Walk Mill dates from the late eighteenth century and was used for grinding corn. There was an earlier mill on this site which was used for fulling or “walking” cloth, hence the name. The mill was seriously damaged by a tree which fell during a storm in January 1976.
