Description:The Mitchell family pictured outside Pennyquart Farm at Wetwood, near Eccleshall. From left to right: Mr and Mrs Mitchell, Vincent Mitchell (at the front, holding a cat), Isabella Mitchell and George Mitchell.

Local tradition has it that Pennyquart Farm is so called because the farmer sold water from the well at the farm for a penny a quart during a drought around 1800.
