Description:Church Street at the corner of Merrial Street and High Street during demolition. Pictured are the Talbot Hotel and Syd Perkin and Edna Duffield's School of Dance. Edna Duffield and Syd Perkin were national and international dance champions and teachers and judges on the BBC original 'Come Dancing' in the 1950s. They opened 'Syds Bar', and ballroom and adjacent bar opposite St Giles Church on Church Street in the 1950s.
