Description:Bushton Farm in Tutbury parish, an image from the Rolleston Hall Estate Sale Catalogue, October 1919. Sir Oswald Mosley, 5th Baronet (1873-1928) had inherited the estate in 1915 on the death of his father, the 4th Baronet (1848-1915) and took the decision to sell it after the First World War. Much of the estate was sold in 1919 and 1920, but the Hall itself was not sold until 1923-24.
Bushton Farm was built in the 17th century and refashioned by the Mosleys in about 1890. It was sold to the sitting tenant, Arthur Henry West, in 1919. The farmhouse still stands but the farm buildings to the right have been demolished.
