Description:Brewood Home Guard pictured near Vicarage Road, in a field now occupied by Westhall Close and Hall Farm Road. In the background is Brewood Vicarage.

Front row: 4th from right is Gerald Holt, born 1926, the youngest here.

Third row from front: 4th from left is Herbert Anderson (1908-1982) and 6th from left is Doctor Cheshire.

Second row: 3rd from left is William Holt, tenant farmer on the Chillington Estate

Back row: 4th from left is Geoff Holt who emigrated to Canada in 1948; 7th from right is Ted Gordon who worked at Boulton & Paul.

Geoff and Gerald were William Holt's sons and Ted Gordon was his future son-in-law. The commanding officer may be Colonel Hatton. Dr Cheshire may be in this group too.
