Description:A postcard view of Thomas Barnes Schools in Hopwas. Built in 1909, the schools were named after the benefactor of the adjacent original 1717 School House which can be seem beyond, to the left of the school buildings. They are situated at the end of School Lane between the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal and the River Thame. The school is now (2023) Thomas Barnes Primary School.

The postcard was published in the 'Teesee Series' for A. M. Henton, Post Office, Hopwas. 'Teesee' was a brand of H.H. Thompson & Son of Coventry. They sent representatives out to shops in Warwickshire and adjacent counties to obtain orders and sent their photographers to take local views, putting the local retailer's name on the resultant postcards.
