Description:This is a miniature portrait of Elizabeth Brougham who married John Brougham, a tax officer at St Giles Church Newcastle-under-Lyme. She was born Elizabeth Hall in Wynbury, Cheshire on the 14th May 1769 and died sometime around 1840-41. They had two children called Joseph and John. Much of this information comes from the notes on the back of the portrait that have been checked against local records.
