Description:This is a miniature profile of a man thought to be John Brougham, a tax officer.
He was born in 1757 and died sometime around the late 1820s or early 1830s.
Much of this information comes from the handwritten notes on the back of the portraits that were checked against local records.
He married Elizabeth Hall, and had two children called Joseph and John.
