Description:A postcard view of Bourne House which overlooks the Black or Bourne Brook at Weeford. It is an early 18th century house with later extensions and during the second half of the 19th century was the village rectory. In 1894 the Rectory was purchased by Mrs A.B. Foster of Canwell and renamed Bourne House. By this time the incumbent, Frederick Beaumont, was living in a smaller Rectory on London Road, Weeford.

At the time of this photograph the house was the home of Colonel E.A.E. (Edward) Bulwer and Mrs Eleanor Bulwer.
