Description:A young boy shows off a root vegetable to two men outside a tent. Other vegetables are placed on the ground in front of them. Standing to the left is Wilmot Martin, Hixon farmer and well known for his impersonations of Sir Harry Lauder. It is likely that this event was held at Hixon.

The postcard photograph is by A. J. Guy of Stafford who had a studio on Newport Road, Stafford.
