Description:A postcard view taken during an excursion from Stafford to Southport. In the background the coach is thought to be from the Greatrex Garage in Stafford.

For several years Greatrex had a coach garage on the Newport Road, Stafford, and later a depot at Greyfriars. In the 1970s Greatrex Travel Services Ltd., also ran a travel agents business with a Registered Office at 142 Newport Road, Stafford. They organised day trips, holidays, outings and tours and ran a single decker bus service from Stafford to several local villages including Tixall, Ingestre and the Haywoods. Their last new coach was a Ford purchased in 1983. In later years the business became part of the Austin family of buses and coaches and known as ‘Happy Days’ which is currently (2023) owned by Leons Holidays of Stafford.
