Description:An interior view of St. John’s Church, Hammerwich, looking east towards the chancel which is illuminated by oil lamps. It was built between 1873-1883 to the design of London architects Newman and Billing replacing a mediaeval predecessor.

Postcard published by Mr Axten, Post Office, Hammerwich. Frank Axten ran the shop and Post Office in Hall Lane by 1913 and at least until 1916 (- but not in 1904 and not by 1928).
