Description:A postcard view of a labourer taking a rest with a horse and a cart loaded with wood on Broad Hill, near Gnosall.

In the background the railway bridge spans the former L&NWR Shropshire Union Railway Line from Stafford to Shrewsbury via Newport and Wellington, which opened in June 1849. The line closed on 7 September 1964.
