Description:Mr Clyde Higgs presenting cup to Mr P. Treadwell from a dais with crowd of visitors around. Photographed at Sheepwash Farm, Whittington at a skilled farmwork competition organised by Whittington District Agricultural Society. Clyde Higgs was a well-known farmer from Stratford-upon-Avon. Mr Treadwell, an employee of Mr Sydney Baxter (Chairman of Whittington District Agricultural Society) was awarded a cup given by Gills Cables Ltd. for the most points over all competitions. He had been placed first in the 'best thatched rick of corn and hedge cutting and laying competitions.
