Description:Almington is situated near Hales and Blore Heath close to the Shropshire border, near Market Drayton. Almington Hall was probably built around 1760 for Edward Sneyd, replacing an earlier manor house. On 7 March 1900 a major fire all but destroyed the house which at the time was occupied by Major Gerald Harding, but it had been rebuilt by 1914.

This postcard was postmarked in Market Drayton on 11 July 1918 and sent to an address at Smethwick.
