Description:The war memorial stands outside St Peter's church, Forsbrook, originally on a piece of open ground which has since been converted to a car park. The work of Robert Bridgeman and Sons of Lichfield, this rather unusual memorial features three elements: a tapering calvary, bearing a crucifix; an inscribed pedestal at base; and a statue of a British soldier stood at the foot of the calvary, nestled into a niche in the pedestal. The fallen of both World Wars are commemorated around the base, whilst the stylized soldier wears the uniform of World War I.
The memorial was unveiled on 6 November 1921 by Colonel J.V. Campbell and dedicated by the Reverend G.H .Hewitt, Vicar of Cobridge.
