Description:An aerial view of Rugeley Cottage Hospital, Brereton from the west.

The Rugeley District Cottage Hospital and Provident Dispensary was built by public subscription in 1871 after the designs of W. A. Bonney and stood on Brereton Road on land donated by the Earl of Lichfield. The main promoter of the scheme was Mr T.B. Horsfall of Bellamour, Colton. The hospital closed in October 1991 and was demolished around not long afterwards. Briar Hill Care Home now stands on the site.
