Description:This aerial postcard view looks south. In the foreground there is a section of the amusement area at Drayton Manor Park and Zoo. Across the centre of the picture from left to right are the lakes which were often used by rowing boats from the early 1950s to around 1997. Just beyond the lake on the right, three footpaths can be seen which converge by a tree, in earlier years similar footpaths appear on old maps of the original grounds of Drayton Manor.

In later years the site became known as Drayton Manor Resort, one of the largest amusement parks in the UK with over 100 rides, a 15 acre zoo and accommodation. It is situated in the grounds of the former Drayton Manor, near Tamworth.

The postcard was published by Aerofilms, Ltd., a Hunting Group Company.
