Description:Looking north along Castle Street, Eccleshall showing the former toll-house on the left which has since been demolished. The gates to Eccleshall Castle can be seen further along the road. Tolls were collected here when the road between Eccleshall and Newcastle-under-Lyme was rebuilt in 1823. It is now the A519.
