Description:A group pictured at a concert held at Hanley Odeon which includes pianist Ruby Murfitt standing back row, 2nd left. She played for Alderman Mrs J. Barber with Mr Perry. A talented pianist, she lived at 63 Lichfield Street, Hanley and was much in demand at musical events in the Potteries.
She was born Ruby Stanway on 4 June 1899 at Elgin Street, Burslem and married Arthur Murfitt in 1921. The Murfitt family lived at Sneyd Green. She died, aged 70 in 1970.
