Description:Ruby Murfitt, accompanying a choir at the Victoria Hall, Hanley. A talented pianist, she lived at 63 Lichfield Street, Hanley and was much in demand at musical events in the Potteries.

She was born Ruby Stanway on 4 June 1899 at Elgin Street, Burslem and married Arthur Murfitt in 1921. The Murfitt family lived at Sneyd Green. She died, aged 70 in 1970.
