Description:The Estate House and Office at Sandon Park is adjacent to the Home Farm and was built for Lord Harrowby in 1777 to designs by Samuel Wyatt. A magnificent wisteria covers the front of the house. Thomas West Knowles, the estate's Land Agent at the time is seen walking towards his wife Marie, wearing a straw hat, and his sister Florence Haynes. Born in Cheam, Surrey in 1880, Thomas was Land Agent at the Sandon Estate by 1911 and lived there until his death in 1957.
